Entrepreneurship is increasingly focused on its role in policy decisions that drive economic and social development. The Community is also interested in how entrepreneurs can innovate and contribute to increasing global competitiveness. Based on the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) and Global Competitiveness Index (GCI) data, the aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between the three concepts of entrepreneurship, innovation and competitiveness, GEM has defined three categories in the development phase. To achieve this goal, we analyze the impact of the nature of entrepreneurs not only through their internal and external knowledge, but also through their innovation and competitiveness in three areas of the GEM development. The results show how the importance of entrepreneurship depends on the stage of economic development, thus reflecting a positive or negative impact on a single economic growth strategy.
