Experts are working to improve their methods of treating cancer. They now have an unprecedented understanding of what makes coronary surgery more successful, for example by understanding the extent to which the lymphatic center is involved during surgery. Laparoscopic surgery is performed through several small incisions in the central region, rather than one large incision, and is more commonly used for certain colon tumors.
